{"id":5868,"date":"2014-03-06T10:03:43","date_gmt":"2014-03-06T10:03:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.icmarkets.com\/?p=5868"},"modified":"2014-03-06T10:03:43","modified_gmt":"2014-03-06T10:03:43","slug":"server-time-changing-to-gmt-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.icmarkets-vnk.com\/blog\/server-time-changing-to-gmt-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Server Time Changing to GMT + 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 align=\"center\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Server Time Changing to GMT + 3<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>On Sunday the 9<sup>th<\/sup> of March, 2014 IC Markets will be changing the time on it\u2019s Metatrader 4 servers to GMT + 3<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>On Sunday the 9th of March, 2014 IC Markets Metatrader 4 server times will move forwards by one hour from GMT + 2 to GMT + 3.<\/p>\n<p>cTrader server time will remain on GMT + 2 until the 30<sup>th<\/sup> of March, 2014 when Europe and England changes to DST.<\/p>\n<p>This change is to reflect the US Eastern Standard Time change taking place on the 9<sup>th<\/sup> of March, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>IC Markets Metatrader 4 server time is based on \u201c5 pm New York\u201d. As the time in the US will move forwards by one hour IC Markets server times will also move forwards to reflect the change.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How does this change effect you?<\/h2>\n<p><b><\/b>The time in the market watch window will now be set at GMT + 3, depending on your time zone you may also notice the market open one hour earlier on Monday morning. The charts will still show an opening time of 0:00 platform time. Some EA\u2019s may using a GMT offset may also be affected by this change. You should make the necessary adjustments to the GMT offset in your EA settings prior to the 9<sup>th<\/sup> of March.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>The GMT offset explained<\/h2>\n<p>The market will close on Friday the 7<sup>th<\/sup> of March at 22:00 GMT, 00:00 platform time.
