South Korea\u2019s Kospi dipped 0.15%, and Australia\u2019s S&amp;P\/ASX 200 remained flat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the U.S., President Donald Trump convened his national security team in the White House Situation Room for a second consecutive day. He is reportedly considering a military strike on Iran amid the escalating conflict with Israel, according to a White House official who spoke to NBC News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal Reserve, as expected, left its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 4.25%\u20134.5%\u2014a level it has maintained since December. Fed Chair Jerome Powell indicated the committee would wait to evaluate the inflationary effects of Trump\u2019s tariffs before making further monetary policy moves. Nonetheless, the Fed still signaled the possibility of two rate cuts later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Wall Street, markets ended mixed. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 44.14 points (0.10%) to close at 42,171.66.
